Registered Nurse — Emergency Room
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Randallstown, Maryland
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- First-time travelers accepted if they have at least 3 years of Emergency Department experience
- Locals accepted
- Block scheduling is not available
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- ED - Emergency Department (3 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Behavioral Health experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of Level I or Level II trauma experience may be considered
- Precepting and training experience
Unit Details
- 54-bed Emergency Department
- Supports two locked Behavioral Health units in the ED
- Patient ratios range from 1:4–6
- Behavioral Health units have a security team
- Two rapid evaluation units support urgent care and critical care needs
- Average daily volume is about 120 visits
- Treats neonatal through geriatric patients
- Care-management and behavioral-health support are available
Additional Notes
- Navy blue scrubs
- Charting uses Cerner, FirstNet, and Launch
- Annual stroke continuing education is required
- CEN is preferred
