Registered Nurse

Job Overview

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Maryland
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • CPI
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Driver's License
  • CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience

Clinical / Role Expectations

  • Provide direct nursing care for critically ill patients
  • Continuously monitor patients using advanced medical equipment
  • Administer medications, fluids, and treatments per physician orders
  • Assist with invasive procedures, including intubation, central line insertion, and arterial blood draws
  • Manage ventilator settings and other life-support equipment
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
  • Follow infection control protocols
  • Participate in continuing education and training
