Description

RN — Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum

Location: Goldsboro, North Carolina
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 48

Overview

Provide direct clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, including coordination and delivery of patient care using the nursing process.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • 1 year of nursing experience
  • Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum experience
  • OB/GYN experience
  • Ability to circulate for C-sections
  • OR Circulate experience
  • Ability to triage for OB
  • Proficiency in reading fetal monitoring strips
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NRP
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patient, family, and caregiver learning needs
  • Evaluate care and revise the plan as needed
  • Communicate relevant information to support continuity of care
  • Deliver care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
  • Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
  • Prioritize and organize care based on patient and family needs
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
  • Support discharge planning and patient/family advocacy
  • Participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities
  • Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment

Preferred Education

  • BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
