Registered Nurse - Hospice

Location

• Basking Ridge, New Jersey

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Travel nursing assignment

Schedule

• Evening shift
• 37.5 hours per week
• 7 hours per day
• 3 shifts per week
• Weekend rotation every 3 weeks
• One summer/winter holiday

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Hospice Palliative Care RN with 2 years of experience
• Hospice Palliative Care RN experience within the last year
• Experience in a Home Care setting
• Experience using an EMR
• Driver's License
• BLS certification

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years of RN experience
• Experience working within a hospice agency or organization

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop plans of care for patients and families
• Manage case coordination, including interdisciplinary communication, scheduling, and plan-of-care updates
• Complete admission, discharge, and revisit documentation within required timeframes
• Provide patient and family education using age-appropriate teaching methods
• Maintain medication reconciliation, current medication orders, and safe medication management
• Support performance improvement activities, orientation, mentorship, and cross-training
