RN - Med/Surg - Travel
Location
- Summit, New Jersey
Schedule
- Day shift
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- Med Surg (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
Role Overview
- Provides direct nursing care for a med/surg travel assignment
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric
- Documents nursing care, patient progress, and patient education accurately and completely
- Follows patient safety standards, including universal protocol and use of 2 patient identifiers
- Supports patient education and pre-/post-operative assessment and teaching
- Assists with completion and review of pre-admission testing orders
- Uses safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
