Sonographer
Location
- Macomb, Illinois
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Days, 8 hours per day
- Variable schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- No call for echo-only work
- Vascular coverage includes 1 weekend per month, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification through AHA
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) through ARDMS
- Registered in Adult Vascular and ECHO through ARDMS or CCI
- 2 years of experience
- Ability to scan adult patients
Preferred Qualifications
- ARDMS RVT preferred
- Pediatric scanning ability is a plus
- Knowledge of AIC accreditation preferred
Job Duties
- Perform adult cardiac echocardiograms
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for respiratory, cardiac, and vascular disorders
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff on patient care plans and patient/family education
Physical Requirements
- Push the ultrasound machine for portable studies
- Position the ultrasound transducer in awkward positions for lengthy exams
