Required Qualifications

• Nuclear Medicine Technologist (1 year of experience)
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ARRT

Experience

• No prior experience required

Preferred Experience

• GE NM 830 experience
• CT cross training

Key Responsibilities

• Identify patients and verify required patient information before the exam
• Obtain informed consent and complete study paperwork
• Evaluate requisitions, charts, and lab results
• Perform patient assessments
• Confirm pregnancy status when applicable and arrange pregnancy testing when ordered
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and document administration details
• Handle radiopharmaceutical receipt, documentation, and disposal
• Follow Radiation Safety Office and NRC guidelines
• Select radiopharmaceuticals, review dosage and quality control, and ensure correct recording
• Set up and perform acquisitions according to protocol
• Maintain patient comfort, care, and safety
• Analyze images and process films for physician review
• Use radiology management and tracking systems for documentation, charges, and inpatient transport coordination
