Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location

Required Qualifications
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist (1 year of experience)
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ARRT
Experience
- No prior experience required
Preferred Experience
- GE NM 830 experience
- CT cross training
Key Responsibilities
- Identify patients and verify required patient information before the exam
- Obtain informed consent and complete study paperwork
- Evaluate requisitions, charts, and lab results
- Perform patient assessments
- Confirm pregnancy status when applicable and arrange pregnancy testing when ordered
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and document administration details
- Handle radiopharmaceutical receipt, documentation, and disposal
- Follow Radiation Safety Office and NRC guidelines
- Select radiopharmaceuticals, review dosage and quality control, and ensure correct recording
- Set up and perform acquisitions according to protocol
- Maintain patient comfort, care, and safety
- Analyze images and process films for physician review
- Use radiology management and tracking systems for documentation, charges, and inpatient transport coordination

- May include advanced duties such as PET imaging or lead technologist responsibilities
