Description
Cardiovascular Sonographer
Location
Raleigh, North Carolina
Schedule
- Days
- 40 hours per week
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Echo-Vascular Technician experience within the last year
- 1 or more years of echocardiogram experience
- BLS
- RDCS or RCS or ACS or RCCS
- Completion of a twelve-month ultrasound program
- Cardiac Sonographer experience
Education
- Accredited associate’s degree in sonography, radiology, or a related field, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program
Job Responsibilities
- Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment and emergency cardiac care
- Assist with post-procedure transport as needed
- Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and quality-check equipment
- Generate ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular structures
- Train and educate staff as needed
- Monitor and record patient information, maintain report storage and data systems, and prepare reports
- Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for daily use and between procedures
