RN - IMC
Job Overview
- Travel RN position in Marquette, Michigan
- 13-week assignment
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend
- Float required
- Call only if census is low
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- 1 year of PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
- Cardiac patient populations experience
- Chest tube management experience
- Cardiac monitoring experience
- Cardiac drips experience
- Telemetry experience
Unit Details
- Cardiac IMCU / cardiac and stepdown
- 36 beds
- Trauma Level 2
- Telemetry monitoring
- Patient ratios: 1:5-6 for cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown patients
Preferred Experience
- PCU/stepdown patient populations
- Low-level ICU skills
Common Patient Diagnoses
- Chest pain
- VATS
- Stroke/TIA
- Pre- and post-open heart surgery
- Pacemakers
- Heart blocks
- Vascular conditions
- CHF
Additional Notes
- Teamwork is emphasized
- Blue or navy scrubs required
- Blue jeans are not allowed
- Candidate must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered travel
