RN - IMC

Job Overview

  • Travel RN position in Marquette, Michigan
  • 13-week assignment
  • 36 hours per week
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Every other weekend
  • Float required
  • Call only if census is low

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Michigan
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • 1 year of PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
  • Cardiac patient populations experience
  • Chest tube management experience
  • Cardiac monitoring experience
  • Cardiac drips experience
  • Telemetry experience

Unit Details

  • Cardiac IMCU / cardiac and stepdown
  • 36 beds
  • Trauma Level 2
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Patient ratios: 1:5-6 for cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown patients

Preferred Experience

  • PCU/stepdown patient populations
  • Low-level ICU skills

Common Patient Diagnoses

  • Chest pain
  • VATS
  • Stroke/TIA
  • Pre- and post-open heart surgery
  • Pacemakers
  • Heart blocks
  • Vascular conditions
  • CHF

Additional Notes

  • Teamwork is emphasized
  • Blue or navy scrubs required
  • Blue jeans are not allowed
  • Candidate must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered travel
