Stepdown Neuro
Overview
- Travel/contract nursing role in Jackson, Tennessee
- Night shift: 3x12s, 18:45–07:15
- 36 hours per week
- No on-call
- May float to other medical-surgical/telemetry units or ICU with low acuity
- Weekend requirement: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Must be willing to work Memorial Day
- Locals and first-time travelers are accepted at the same rate
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- 1 year of experience in Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit
- Stepdown experience
- Telemetry experience
- Experience with Epic
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID
- Background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM screening
- HHS/OIG screening
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- N95 fit test within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire
- Drug screen within 30 days of start
- COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
- Flu vaccination during flu season
- 2 clinical references
- Completed application/resume
- Skills checklist
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam, as applicable
- Competency exam, as applicable
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- Appearance standards acknowledgement
Notes
- Prior travel experience is preferred, not required
- May be required to complete EPIC testing before or after start, depending on onboarding status
