Description
MRI Technologist
Location
- Louisville, Kentucky
Schedule
- 40 hours/week
- 3rd shift: 8:00 PM–6:30 AM, Monday–Thursday
- No weekends
- No call
Contract Length
- 14 weeks
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist (1 year of experience)
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS
- ARRT (MR)
- KBMIRT
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic MRI imaging
- Screen patients and verify screening forms for safety
- Obtain patient history and verify orders
- Prepare patients for exams and monitor them during the MRI procedure
- Administer contrast media under physician direction and department policy
- Perform daily equipment quality assurance and quality control
- Maintain records and charting related to patient cases
- Report equipment malfunctions and assist in other radiology areas as needed
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 100 pounds or more with assistance
- Requires frequent movement, typing/data entry, and prolonged sitting
- Requires constant visual attention, hearing, concentration, memory, and verbal/written communication
