Description
Progressive Care Unit RN
Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Schedule
- 3x12
- 7p-7a
- Weekend and holiday rotation
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kentucky
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN
- Previous nursing experience
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments
- Provide direct patient care, including rounds, treatments, and care coordination
- Support admissions, transfers, discharges, and discharge teaching
- Educate patients and families
- Delegate and oversee patient care tasks appropriately
- Participate in quality improvement activities and documentation monitoring
Additional Information
- Must communicate clearly and respectfully, collaborate with the care team, and demonstrate computer system/application familiarity or ability to be trained
- Must be able to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
