RN - Behavioral Health

Job Overview

  • Location: Raleigh, North Carolina

  • Float: May work on 4 different units
  • Weekend schedule: Every other / as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Psychiatric (2 years of experience)
  • Psychiatric experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS certification
  • HWC certification, which can be completed on site
  • CPR certification within 30 days of employment and before any patient contact
  • Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and before any patient contact
  • Must be at least 21 years old

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility
  • Direct experience with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients
  • Experience with patient assessments, family motivation, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities

Schedule Notes

  • Orientation is biweekly on Mondays
  • May be required to work flexible hours and overtime
