Description
MedSurg RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Florence, South Carolina
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 4x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Patient ratio: 1:6–7
- Every other weekend required
- On-call required for low census
- Floating within scope to like units/sister facilities is required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates are not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- 1 year of Med Surg experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Schedule and Assignment Notes
- Block scheduling may be requested before assignment, but is not guaranteed
- Travelers may be called off 1 shift per 2 weeks
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application and is subject to facility needs
- Local radius: 60 miles
Compliance and Onboarding
- 2 clinical references required
- Performance evaluation dated within 12 months of start required
- Copy of driver’s license or state ID required
- Copy of Social Security card required
- E-Verify attestation required
- Background check required
- State exclusion search required
- NURSYS verification required
- Physical exam required
- Tdap required within 10 years of start or declination
- TB screening required
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity documentation required
- 10-panel drug screen required within 90 days of start
- COVID vaccination documentation or declination required
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Respirator clearance required for patient-facing travelers
- Photo for badge required
- Assignment acknowledgment, confidentiality, systems access, HIPAA, and employee information forms required before start
- Orientation modules must be completed before orientation
- Hurricane season emergency response assignment may apply from June through November
