Contract

- 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Endoscopy (1 year of experience)
- Endoscopy experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with GI equipment operation
Job Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care and safety for patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures with or without sedation
- Collaborates with pre-operative care RN to assess patient needs and procedure requirements
- Develops, implements, and communicates plans of care
- Responds to patient comfort needs and requests for health information
- Uses aseptic practice and monitors compliance within the surgical team
- Supports, educates, and reassures patients and families
- Participates in quality improvement and patient care evaluation
- Documents equipment use and supply consumption for charging and inventory management
- May float to other departments within the perioperative umbrella and occasionally to other nursing units
- May be placed on call during a regularly scheduled shift
