Job Overview

Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- TNCC
- CPI
- Driver's License
Preferred Experience
- 5 years of emergency nursing experience preferred
- Previous experience in a high-volume Emergency Department preferred
Work Setting
- Fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department with 29 beds
- Serves patients across all age groups
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients
- Provide emergency nursing interventions for critically ill and injured patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies
- Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in clinical status
- Assist with trauma resuscitations and cardiac emergencies
- Document care in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with physicians, EMS personnel, respiratory therapy, laboratory, radiology, and ancillary staff
- Follow hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection prevention guidelines
- Participate in quality improvement and departmental education activities

- Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
- License and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
- NIH certification
- Pharmacology exam with minimum 80% score
- Core competencies exam with minimum 80% score
- EKG exam with minimum 80% score
- CPI training
- Color vision screening
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- MMR documentation required
- Fit test required
- Hepatitis B documentation required
- Influenza vaccine: declinations accepted, but masking is required
