Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Pennsylvania
• Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience in a Critical Care setting
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Emergency Department experience
• Proficiency with Hamilton G5, PB 980, Respironics V60, Optiflow, Lumis tx, Cough Assist, Vest, and IPV equipment

Compliance and Onboarding

• Background check required within 30 days of start
• Pennsylvania state-specific search required within 30 days of start
• Pennsylvania child abuse search required within 90 days of start
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprint results required within 90 days of start
• Pennsylvania PATCH search results required within 90 days of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check required upon hire
• HHS/OIG check required upon hire
• Education verification required
• Employment application required with 7 years of complete work history and explanations for gaps over 90 days
• Minimum of 2 professional references required, both from employment within 12 months of start
• Affidavit for provisional employment required prior to start
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
• Fit test questionnaire required prior to start
• Respirator safety clearance required for candidates starting 04/07/2025 and beyond

Health Requirements

• Physical exam within 2 months of start
• Fit mask completed onsite
• Tdap vaccination within 10 years of start
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray required
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation required
• Drug screen required within 60 days of start
• COVID-19 vaccination or declination required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season

Schedule Expectations

• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
