Occupational Therapist
Job Overview
- Specialty: Rehabilitation OT
- Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
- Employment type: Travel
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weekly hours: 40
- Weekend requirement: One Saturday shift, with a weekday off swapped during that week
- Openings: 1
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oklahoma
- Occupational Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
- Doctorate, Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
Role Details
- Must be comfortable working in an acute rehab setting
- Responsibilities include performing ADLs for patients with varied diagnoses and functional levels
- Patient population is general
- Common diagnoses treated include CVA, SCI, TBI, and orthopedic cases
Skills and Work Style
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written
- Cooperative team-player mindset
Facility Notes
- Inpatient rehabilitation setting
- 66 beds
- Patient ratio: 5–7 patients
Start-of-Assignment Instructions
- Report at 8:00 AM
- Wear black scrubs
- Ask for David Miller upon arrival
- Parking is on the west side of the building
Additional Requirements
- Mercy cover sheet required
- Influenza vaccination compliance is required, or an approved exemption must be submitted before working on site
