CVOR Tech
Job Overview
- Specialty: Surgical Services
- Location: Pomona, New Jersey
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day, 4x10 hours
- Hours per week: 40
- Schedule alternates between 6:30a–5:00p and 9:00a–8:00p
- On-call is required, including weekend call and night call
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates are accepted
Required Qualifications
- CVOR Technologist (2 years of experience)
- CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NBSTSA or NCCT
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
- 2 years of cardiac and vascular experience
Clinical Experience
- Cardiac procedures: ASD repair, cardiomyoplasty, CABG, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, laparoscopic cardiac surgery
- Vascular procedures: AAA repair, aortic aneurysm repair, aortocaval fistula repair, aortoenteric fistula repair, AV fistula repair, AV malformation surgery, atherectomy, carotid angioplasty/stenting/endarterectomy, EVAR, fem-pop bypass graft, renal artery bypass surgery, TEVAR
Work Conditions
- Scrubs are provided
- Travelers float as needed between campuses approximately 12 miles apart
- Missed shifts may need to be made up during the same week or at the end of the assignment
Additional Notes
- A pass/fail in-house skills assessment is completed during orientation
- Facility-provided training and competency testing are required for assignment-specific onboarding
