CT Technologist
Overview
- Role: CT Technologist
- Shift: Night shift, 19:00 - 07:30
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts
- Assignment type: LTA
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Massachusetts
- CT Technologist experience within the last year
- 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ARRT (CT)
- Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Siemens CT equipment experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 years’ experience as a Radiologic technologist
- At least one year in CT
Work Setting / Scope
- Float among radiology clinics and divisions associated with the hospital as needed
- Rotates within department, divisions, and off-site clinics as required
- May oversee and instruct medical radiography, CT, and nuclear medicine students/personnel
- On-call coverage may be required
- Flexible shift coverage and overtime as needed
Core Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images
- Prepare, position, and immobilize patients for exams
- Explain exams to patients and provide care within scope of license/training
- Calibrate and verify equipment; report malfunctions
- Complete exam paperwork and Radiology Information System functions
- Perform venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction
- Transport and transfer patients
- Participate in research, quality assurance, and quality improvement activities
- Perform other duties as directed
