RN - L&D
Overview
- Travel RN assignment in Elko, Nevada
- 13-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Weekly orientations
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered travel
- Floating is required; may float to other departments based on patient census and department needs
- Possible float scope includes Med/Surg and Psych units
Unit
- LDRP unit
- Women’s Services department
- 15 beds total: 6 L&D and 9 Postpartum
- Provides Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Triage, Postpartum, and Nursery care
- Level 1 nursery
- Patient population: Adults and Newborns
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Nevada
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- Fetal Monitoring Assessment
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Required Skills / Experience
- Spontaneous vaginal delivery (SVD) experience (excluding VBAC)
- Cesarean section experience
- OB triage experience
- Nonstress test experience
- Care of newborn procedures and management
- Management of hemorrhages
- Fetal monitoring interventions
- Management of pre-eclampsia/eclampsia/hypertensive crisis patients
- Post Partum experience
- Nursery experience
