Operating Room
Overview
- Travel/Contract assignment in Baltimore, Maryland
- Day shift: 11:00–23:30, 3x12s
- OR patient ratio: 1:1
- First-timers accepted
- Every other weekend required
- Call required based on unit needs
- Local candidates accepted
- Block scheduling not accommodated
- Scrubs provided
Unit Details
- General Operating Room position
- OR averages approximately 40 cases per day
- Care provided to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Supports advanced technology, minimally invasive techniques, evidence-based care, surgical education, and interdisciplinary collaboration
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC
- Trauma experience
- ENT Surgery experience
- Surgical Oncology experience
- Neurosurgery experience
- Orthopedic Surgery experience
- Thoracic Surgery experience
- Urology experience
- Vascular Surgery experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching hospital experience
- Level I trauma experience
- ACLS
- NIH
- PALS
Schedule and Time Off
- The system auto-approves 14 days or less of RTO
- Every other winter and summer holiday required; no RTO approved
- No RTO on hard-to-fill days such as Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day
Float Scope
- Floats as needed within scope to meet system needs
