Job Overview

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New Jersey
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience
• ARRT (R) or RCIS
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association

Clinical Skills and Experience

• Room circulator
• Scrub and maintain sterile field
• Diagnostic cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology experience
• Equipment setup
• EKG lead placement
• Access site prep
• Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Sterile technique
• Vascular and cath lab procedures including angioplasty, endovascular interventions, stent placement, PCI, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement/removal, pacemaker insertion, and cardiac catheterization

Scheduling and Assignment Details

• On-call required: 14–15 shifts per month, every other week Sunday through Saturday
• Must work 2 of the 3 holidays
• Holiday coverage is on-call only; 1 winter or 1 summer holiday required as needed
• Candidates must float within their skillset
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals accepted

Charting

• Epic required

Additional Notes

• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Respiratory medical clearance required before start
• Fit testing is completed onsite
• Negative TB screening, physical exam, drug screen, flu documentation or exemption, and immunization documentation are required before start
• 2 references within the last 2 years are required
• Employment application or resume must include 7 years of work history
