Overview

• Travel OR RN for day shift in Cherokee, Iowa.
• 13-week contract.
• 40 hours per week.
• Schedule is generally Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with possible variation based on OR schedule.
• Call is required 1–2 times per week and at least every 3rd weekend.
• Call response time is 30 minutes.
• The unit is under construction, so only limited rooms are being used during this time.
• The assignment has 2 suites and an Endo suite.
• Up to 15 cases per day, sometimes 20 when cataracts or pain cases are scheduled.
• Pain cases are performed in the endo room.

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• 1 year of experience
• Must be able to handle cases except head, heart, and back.
• Must have Ortho, General, and C-Section experience.

Preferred

• Scrubbing
• Experience in the other areas beyond Ortho, General, and C-Section.

Floating

• Pre-op
• PACU

Additional Notes

• Will consider a first-time traveler.
• Must be flexible with schedule.
• No anesthesiologist onsite; CRNAs are present.
• Scrub color/dress code is provided.
• General orientation is virtual for 1 hour, followed by 1 day of floor orientation.
