Description
Registered Respiratory Therapist
Overview
- 13-week assignment in West Burlington, Iowa
- 12-hour shifts, 18:00 - 06:30
- Every other weekend required
- On call required once every scheduling period
- May cover other shifts as needed
- Provides respiratory care across Neonate, Infant, Toddler, School Age, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patient populations
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2 years of experience
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP
- Driver's License
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Some peds experience
Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders
- Assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities
- Supervise respiratory care students
- Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures
- Maintain patient records
- Select, assemble, check, and operate equipment
