Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Chesapeake, Virginia
• 40 hours per week
• Day shifts with 5x8 and 4x10 schedules, varying between 7:00 and 19:00
• Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call is required
• Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays
• Longer assignments through January 9, 2027 are available but not required

Assignment Setting

• Based in the Cardiac Cath Lab
• May also support Electrophysiology (EP) and Cath Holding

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Virginia
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program leading toward Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registry
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• One current credential: RCIS, RCVT, or RCES
• No license or background hits will be considered

• Proof of 2 references
• Unit-specific skills checklist
• Current NURSYS report
• All requested time off listed on the cover sheet
• Government-issued photo ID
• Passport-style photo for badge
• Vehicle registration form
• Physical exam statement within 12 months of start
• Fit test for N95 mask
• Negative TB or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption by 10/31
• COVID vaccine documentation if available

Notes

• Overtime should be expected
• Call averages approximately 12 days per month, including weekends
• Travelers must be willing to cover holiday call
