RN - Med/Surg

Overview

Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks
Weekends: Yes
Float scope: May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
On-call: May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Required Qualifications

Experience: 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
License: Valid RN license in Colorado
Certifications: BLS issued by American Heart Association, ACLS issued by American Heart Association, NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience as a Registered Nurse
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care
Provides health teaching and counseling
Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans
Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
