MRI Tech
Role Overview
- Travel/Contract MRI Tech in Oakland, California.
- Schedule: 4x10s, with shifts of Sunday 12:30–23:00 or Monday–Thursday 10:00–20:30; Fridays and Saturdays off.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with 5 years of experience.
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year.
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- ARMRIT (MRI) or ARRT (MRI).
Job Duties
- Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures.
- Operate diagnostic MRI equipment.
- Assist physicians with diagnostic MRI and guidance imaging during invasive procedures.
- Educate patients about the procedure, medications or contrast media, and associated biological effects.
- Maintain documentation, inventory, safety standards, and equipment quality control.
- May help orient other staff to the department.
Experience / Skills
- General knowledge of diagnostic MRI principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
- Some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies.
- Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills.
