RN - Emergency Dept

Overview

Travel RN role in the Emergency Department
Location: Sanford, North Carolina
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7P–7A
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend requirement: every other weekend and some holidays
Call: none
Float: as needed

Unit

Emergency Department
21 beds total, including 12 telemetry beds, 3 behavior health beds, and 5 fast track rooms
Patient ratio: 1:5
Patient population: all ages

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
2 years of Emergency Department experience
Emergency Department experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
PALS
CPI
Experience with trauma nursing
Experience with resuscitation
IV insertion skills
Experience with IV drips
Experience with oxygen demand support
Experience with blood products
Experience with basic telemetry/EKG

Preferred Qualifications

Emergency Medicine experience
Psych ER experience

Additional Notes

Orientation is weekly on Mondays
Equipment: Emergency Equipment
EHR: Cerner
Dress code: any scrub color
Unacceptable attire: no open-toed footwear, no spandex pants, no sweatshirts
