Stepdown/PCU RN

Role Overview

  • Travel/Contract RN assignment in Springfield, Illinois.
  • Based in a 562-bed acute care Magnet teaching hospital with a Level I trauma center.
  • Unit/specialty: Stepdown/PCU RN.
  • Shift: Nights, 3x12s (18:45–07:15); can accommodate 4x12s if preferred.
  • Weekend coverage: every other weekend.
  • Floating: will float as needed within scope.
  • Locals accepted with no radius restriction.
  • First-timers not accepted.
  • On-call not required.
  • Block scheduling can be discussed with the manager.
  • RTO ideally no more than 5 days.
  • Guaranteed hours are subject to client call-off policy.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Illinois.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Intermediate Care experience within the last year.
  • Intermediate Care (1 year of experience).
  • One completed travel assignment.
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association.
  • NIHSS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS.

Additional Notes

  • Scrub color: any solid color.
  • Charting system: Cerner.
  • Parking permit required; no cost.
  • Badge photo and several onboarding documents are required before start.
