OR Tech / Surgical Tech
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Tracy, California
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 4x10 hours
- 40 hours per week
- On-call required, including overnight, weekends, and holidays, with a 20-minute response time
Role Summary
Responsible for preparing the sterile field for surgical operations, assisting surgeons during procedures, passing instruments and supplies, holding retractors, anticipating surgeon needs, and supporting department supply and equipment setup/maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technologist with 2 years of experience
- Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- High school diploma or GED, or graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, or military training as a surgical technician
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred for RN positions
Additional Notes
- May help orient other staff to the department
- Must review/sign required pre-start documents and complete required health screening and compliance items before start
