Registered Nurse Case Manager

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Randallstown, Maryland
• Day shift: 5x8s, Monday–Friday, 8:30a–5p
• 40 hours per week
• Coverage focuses on the Emergency Department and medical inpatient units
• Assignment may include more than one inpatient unit based on staffing needs
• Adult and geriatric patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Case Management (2 years of experience)
• Case Management experience within the last year
• Experience in a Hospital or Inpatient setting
• Experience with discharge planning
• Med Surg experience

Schedule and Coverage

• May be scheduled up to every other weekend based on staffing needs
• One holiday per year is required
• Every other winter and summer holiday are required
• No RTO is approved on hard-to-fill days such as Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day
• One pre-approved time-off request is permitted per contract
• The system will auto-approve 14 days or less of RTO
• Block scheduling is not accommodated

Additional Notes

• Typical assignment is one 20-bed unit in partnership with a Social Worker
• During crisis staffing, the RN Case Manager may support approximately 1.5–2 units in partnership with Case Management and Social Work
• Cerner is the charting system
