Description
CVPICU Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Newark, New Jersey
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Unit has 19 beds and cares for infants, adolescents, and pediatrics
- Floating may include Pediatrics and NICU if needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- CVPICU (2 years of experience)
- CVPICU experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- IV Certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of cardiac critical care experience
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
- Experience with Epic
- Must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays as needed
- Every other weekend

- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Telemetry/tele monitoring
- Medtronic pacemakers
- Standard PICU equipment

- Hydrocephalus/VP shunt
- Chemotherapy monitoring
