Cardiovascular Sonographer

Overview

• Location: Garner, North Carolina
• Schedule: Days, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

• Performs outpatient cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography).
• Provides pre- and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment and emergency cardiac care.
• May assist with post-procedure transport.
• Calibrates, maintains, troubleshoots, and quality-checks equipment.
• Generates ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular-related structures.
• May provide staff training and education.
• Monitors patient information, maintains report storage/data systems, enters charge data, and prepares reports.
• Prepares the procedure room and equipment for daily use and between procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Echo Technologist experience with 2 years of experience.
• Echo Technologist experience within the last year.
• BLS.
• RDCS or RCS or ACS or RCCS.
• Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, or completion of a twelve-month ultrasound program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Stress echo experience.
• Epic experience.
