RN - Emergency Dept

Overview

• Travel RN assignment in Pulaski, Tennessee
• Detox position; ER experience will be considered
• 1 opening
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and as needed
• No call required
• May be required to float to other departments as needed, but not as a standard
• 13-week contract
• Orientation is weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered travel

Unit / Setting

• Detox Unit
• 13 beds
• Patient ratio: 1:7
• Ages 18 to geriatric; occasionally sees 17-year-old patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
• NIH Certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Results required on the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to start

Preferred

• 5+ years of experience preferred; 3+ years will be acceptable
• Experience with CIWA/COWS preferred

Skills / Experience

• Patient care of all ages
• Bedside shift report
• IV access
• Assist with bedside procedures such as PICC lines and midlines

• High fall risk
