Interim Leader
Role
Interim Leader in Surgical Services
Location
Los Alamos, New Mexico
Assignment Details
- Interim leadership assignment in a 47-bed acute care facility
- Specialty/unit: Surgical Services
- Department reports to the OR Director
- 3 OR suites
- Types of cases: Endoscopies
- On-call schedule: 10–11 days per staff member
- No block scheduling
- Reason for opening: current Director is resigning
- Orientation is weekly on Mondays
- 40 hours per week
- Contract length: 12 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- Experience in Director roles
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- 1 year of Med Surg experience
- OR - Operating Room experience
Facility Notes
- Smaller operating OR
- Collaborative working relationship with physicians and anesthesia group
- 3 Circulators and 3 PACU RNs on staff
- FTE: 15.4 across OR, PACU, and Infusion
New Mexico Compliance
- All clinical staff on assignment in New Mexico must be fingerprinted before hire and provide documentation that the check is being processed
- Travelers may start on a 14-day waiver while waiting on results but must be supervised
- Each agency needs an account with NM DOH
