Overview

• Travel/Contract Registered Nurse role in Randallstown, Maryland
• 54-bed Emergency Department
• Day shift: 3x12s, 11:00–23:30
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required during the contract period
• One pre-approved time-off request is permitted per contract
• Requested time off must be included in the contract and reviewed with the manager
• Locals are accepted
• Block scheduling is not accepted
• Contract length: 14 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of Level I or Level II trauma experience may be considered
• Precepting and training experience
• CEN

Float / Unit Coverage

• May float within scope to meet facility needs
• Float between two rapid evaluation units for urgent care and critical care needs
• Support the 2 locked units in the ED for Behavioral Health care

Unit Details

• The department averages approximately 120 visits per day
• Treats neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• The hospital is a Primary Stroke Center with Gold Plus recognition from the American Heart Association
• STEMI patients may transfer when cardiac catheterization intervention is needed
• Care-management and behavioral-health support are available
