Description
Observation Unit/MS/TELE/ONC
Role
- Observation Unit/MS/TELE/ONC
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- 36 hours per week
- Travel/Contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- IV insertion skills
- Experience with PICC lines
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
Preferred
- ACLS
- OCN
Unit Details
- Observation unit manages patients with anticipated short lengths of stay up to two midnights
- Patients are boarded from the ED and ICC in observation status
- Ratio is 1:4 with charge in an assignment
Floating
- May occasionally float to the ED to assist with inpatient Med/Surg tele patients awaiting transfer to their acute care unit
Additional Notes
- Scrubs are not provided; navy blue/white scrubs are required
- Orientation to the area will be provided
