Description
CVOR RN
- Location: Long Beach, California
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Call: Call required, with weekend call and work rotation. Call is split and rotated separately for CVOR RNs. Currently 1 CVOR RN covers every night. Call response time is 30.
- Holidays: Yes
Required Qualifications
- 2 full years of experience
- Active BLS
- Active ACLS
- Active California license
Preferred
- Scrubbing (not required, but would be great)
Unit and Assignment Details
- Unit: CVOR, 1 suite, 2 cases per week
- Staffing ratio: 2 circulators per case
- Charge RN: Assigns the next day's work
- Scrubs: Provided
- Floating: First to float. Floats only within the OR to other specialties, and to the main OR.
- Orientation: About a week, or until comfortable
- Common case types: Straightforward CABG, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy
