Outpatient Cardiac Rehab RN
Overview
- Outpatient Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab day program
- 36 hours, days
- Open 6:45am–5:30pm
- No floating required
- Free on-site parking
- Accepting conditional MA RN licensed applicants
Unit
- Outpatient Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- 2 years of cardiology experience
- Cardiology experience within the last year
- Experience working with cardiac patients
- Rehabilitation experience
- Med Surg experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Cardiac risk factor intervention and exercise prescription and intervention experience
Preferred Qualifications
- NCC Cardiac Vascular Nursing Certification
Patient Population
- Adults 25 to 90 years old
- Cardiac rehab patients with recent cardiovascular events or diagnoses, including MI, stent, CABG, valve repair/replacement, transplant, HF, and stable angina
- Pulmonary rehab patients with COPD, s/p COVID, and other lung diseases
Additional Notes
- Cardiac risk factor intervention and exercise prescription/intervention are part of the role
- Each group is assigned 2 professionals with a ratio of 1:5
