RN - MedSurg/Tele

Location: Paducah, Kentucky

Unit: Acute Medical 4C (expansion unit, anticipated opening January 2027)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule: 36 hours/week, 12-hour shifts, 1900-0700

Role Summary

The RN provides direct patient care on the unit, including assessments, treatments, admission, transfer, and discharge activities, patient and family education, and care coordination and individualized treatment planning. The RN delegates and oversees team members' patient care, provides input into patient and nurse assignments based on staffing, unit activity, and patient acuity, and participates in unit quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation audits.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Valid, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience (1 year), with experience within the last year
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices for all patients
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with other care team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous nursing experience

Additional Skills

• Understanding of computer systems and applications, or ability to be trained
