RN Emergency Room

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin Employment Type: Long-term assignment (LTA) Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 Schedule: EOW or based on department needs; EOH rotating with regular staff

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including ED experience within the last year
• Two completed travel assignments
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC
• NIHSS
• Ascension MOAB
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License

Onboarding Requirements

• Health and immunizations

  • Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
  • MMR: two documented vaccines or positive IgG titer; no declinations accepted
  • Varicella: two documented vaccines, serological immunity, or provider-verified history; no declinations accepted
  • Hepatitis B: vaccine series completed or signed declination
  • Tdap: valid 10 years; no declinations or attestations accepted
  • Influenza vaccine: flu season October 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027; exemptions/declinations accepted, but must wear a mask at all times
  • TB: 2-step PPD (first within 1 year, second within 30 days of start) or negative IGRA within 90 days of start; TB questionnaire updated annually
  • Fit test: required for all travelers, updated annually; preferred before start, can be completed onsite; PAPR not completed onsite; WI and MI require 3M 1860 Regular, 3M 1860 Small, or 3M 1870+
  • 11-panel drug screen: within 30 days prior to first assignment, updated annually
• Background and verification

  • Criminal background check (7-year SSN trace, county search, national criminal, OFAC, and VSOP) within 90 days of first assignment, updated yearly
  • EPLS within 90 days of start
  • Education verification within 90 days of start; diplomas not accepted
  • Third-party employment verification for the past 7 years, updated yearly
  • Confirmation of assignment on agency letterhead, provided at initial assignment and each extension
• Other

  • Driver's license or state ID, not expired, showing front and back
  • Badge photo: forward-facing headshot with white or blue background; no filters
  • Pre-hire education attestation (6 hours of pre-hire modules)
  • Nursing contract worker onboarding, completed onsite

• Floating: may float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
