RN - MedSurg/Tele

Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky Employment Type: Clinical, Nursing Contract Length: 12 weeks Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7p-7a), weekend and holiday rotation Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week

Role Summary

The RN provides direct patient care on the unit, including nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments; admission, transfer, and discharge activities; patient and family education; and care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable. Responsibilities include:

• Performing and documenting comprehensive patient assessments, and identifying patient risk factors and needs
• Developing care plans with the interprofessional team, patient, and family
• Implementing and monitoring therapies and procedures, and recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition
• Delegating tasks and overseeing team members' patient care activities
• Executing discharge orders and coordinating discharge plans with Case Management
• Participating in unit quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, patient falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation audits

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• At least 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, with experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
