Job Description
The CVICU Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients requiring advanced monitoring. Key responsibilities include:
Operating advanced medical equipment, including:
- Central lines (A-lines)
- Multiple IVs
- Balloon pumps
- Impella pumps
- Ventilation support
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy
Caring for general medical and surgical patients in the inpatient unit.
Assessing and implementing established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
Acting as a clinical leader and assisting with precepting staff.
Providing comprehensive care for patients from admission to discharge, including discharge planning.
Directing the activities of RN, LPN, CNA, housekeeping, and dietary staff.
Receiving direction from providers, charge nurse, acute care director, and chief nursing officer.
Additional Information
- Willingness to care for PCU and Med-Surgical patients if no ICU/CVICU patients are in-house.
