Job Description
The practice of nursing in this role requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide care to groups and individuals. The RN will utilize knowledge from various sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Care is provided based on a model that promotes an ongoing partnership between patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring it is culturally based and age-specific. The RN will adhere to the American Nursing Association (ANA) code of ethics and the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
Unit Description: Cardiac Cath Lab
- Fast-paced environment utilizing the latest technology to treat adult cardiovascular disease.
- Participation in research trials, including pre-market release of new technology.
- Specialized programs include:
- Chronic Limb Ischemia (CLI) to prevent limb loss due to vascular disease.
- Chronic Total Occlusions (CTO) to improve quality of life for patients with angina.
- A structural heart program that treats heart valves and structures, led by a team of advanced physicians.
- Nurses work alongside a team of Radiologic Technologists and Cardiologists in roles such as circulator, scrub nurse, or monitoring nurse.
- Continuous learning opportunities as technology evolves.
