Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Stepdown/PCU RN)
Location
- City: Springfield, Illinois
- Facility: Springfield Memorial Hospital, part of Hereford Regional Medical Center
Employment Details
- Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 3x12 Nights (1845-0715), with the option for 4x12s
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating Requirement: Will float as needed within scope
Experience Requirements
- Minimum Experience: 1 year required (first-timers not accepted)
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH (National Institutes of Health)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
- Pending License: Not accepted; must have an active Illinois license

- Pre/Post Cardiac Cath and Surgery
- Sheath Removal
- Gastrointestinal:
- Feeding tube care and management
- Genitourinary/Renal:
- Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management
- IV Therapy/Phlebotomy:
- Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration
- Medication Management:
- Heparin Protocols, Cardiac and Vasoactive drips management
- Neurological/Psychiatric:
- Craniotomy, CVA, Pre/Post neurosurgery
- Orthopedics:
- Ortho Trauma, Total Joint Replacements
- Respiratory:
- Care of Ventilated Patients, Tracheostomy Management

- Candidates must be able to accommodate a maximum of 5 days of requested time off.
- Candidates must complete a 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
