Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - Travel Position
Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Travel
Unit Information
- Unit: CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
- Number of Beds: 10 ORs (Hospital licensed for 330 beds)
- Staffing: Approximately 50 staff members
- Shifts:
- Day Shift: RNs, STs, UAs
- Night Shift: Call team
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Equipment: DaVinci Robot, Endovascular Suite
- EMR System: Altera
Required Experience & Skills
Specialty: CST/ORT with CVOR experience
Years of Experience Required: 2 years
Must Have Experience In:
- Cardiac Surgery (CABG, Valve Replacements, Aorta Replacement, Bentall Procedures; NO transplants)
- Thoracic Surgery (Thoracotomy, VATS; robotic thoracic experience is a strong plus)
- Vascular Surgery (Carotid and femoral endarterectomy, dialysis catheter placement, peripheral vascular bypass such as Fem-Pop bypass)
- Endovascular Procedures (basic groin or radial access, angiography/angioplasty, EVAR/TEVAR)
Preferred/Nice to Have:
- Thoracic robotic surgery experience (not required for call coverage)
- Basic endovascular skills for call coverage
Typical Procedures
- Open heart surgery (basic and complex)
- Thoracic surgery procedures
- Vascular and endovascular procedures
Certifications Required
- BLS
- CST Certification
Work Environment & Culture
Personality Fit:
- Work hard, play nice
- Comfortable with call coverage
Floating Areas: General OR possible
Dress Code: OR provided scrubs
Schedule & On-Call
- Rotating weekends
- Holidays as needed (PRN)
- Call: 2 nights per week possible, plus one night per week stay late
