Job Opportunity: Nursing Position at Presbyterian Hospital, Albuquerque, NM

Position Details

  • 75-mile straight line radius rule (not driving distance)
  • No local travelers
  • Travelers must float within the facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of the permanent assigned location.

Job Description

• Candidates must have an active New Mexico or compact nursing license.
• Time off requests must be disclosed with the initial submission; requests after acceptance will not be approved.
• Candidates should have at least 2 years of current experience in a large operating room (OR), with orthopedic, ENT, and/or vascular experience being a plus.
• Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - preferred
• Certifications must be obtained through recognized organizations (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).

Shift Details

• Days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Hours: 0630 - 1700
• Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs.
• Weekends, on-call, and holidays may be required.

Orientation

• Orientation occurs during the first week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training (Epic test out available if the candidate has used Epic in the last six months).

Additional Information

• No holiday time off (RTO) will be approved for travelers.
• Candidates must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from their last day worked to be considered for a travel position.
• Ensure accurate Social Security Number and Date of Birth are entered to avoid onboarding issues.
• Review cancellation policies regarding fees for travelers canceling without proper notice.
