Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist

Location

City: Redding, California
Facility: Mercy Medical Center

Job Details

Specialty: Physical Therapy
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shifts: 4 ten-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend (could be every other weekend)
Holidays: Work into permanent staff rotation for all modalities

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Physical Therapy, with at least 1 year of acute care hospital experience
Licenses/Certifications:
- Active California Physical Therapy License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- COVID Vaccine Required

Additional Information

Unit: Rehab (PT, OT, & Speech)
Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients:
- Cardiac
- Stroke (facility is stroke certified)
- Orthopedic
- ICU
- Neuro
- Medsurg
- Pediatrics (low volume case load)
- Neonatal ICU (travelers not required to work NICU or have experience with pediatrics)
Orientation: 8 hours of floor-specific orientation for all modalities
Staffing: PT staff available 7 days a week; team leader present when manager is not available
Scrub Color: Polo style shirt or button-down long sleeve (burgundy) provided by the hospital; dark solid pants required (no scrubs allowed)

Additional Notes

No floating required
Hospitalist or Intensivist available 24/7
Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy services available 24/7
