Job Description

• Position: Cath Lab Tech
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Work schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (6:45 AM - 5:15 PM)
• Call requirements:

  • One weeknight call (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
  • Call every 4th weekend (Friday 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday 24-hour call)
• Must be able to scrub and perform as first assist to physicians, including table positioning and camera movement
• Experience with Phillips X-Ray equipment and documentation in GE MacLab required
• ARRT certification required

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) as required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as required
• State License (Primary Source Verification)
• NURSYS Verification (for RNs) as applicable
• HIPAA Safety Manual Acknowledgement

Required Documents & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Background check (7-year criminal check, updated annually)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (updated every contract renewal)
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluation
• Employment application/resume
• Transcript/Diploma or Education Verification
• Skills Checklist (updated annually)
• Facility-specific forms including:

  • New Hire Form
  • Confidentiality Agreement

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Initial physical exam and annual updates attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years, declination acceptable)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 6-12 months)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines/boosters as per CDC guidelines
  • Hepatitis B: Surface antibody and antigen titers, vaccination series or declination
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines/boosters
  • Hepatitis A and C titers (within 6 months)
• Drug testing:

  • 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (LabCorp only for facility)
• Seasonal flu vaccination (required by 10/31 through 4/30) with medical or religious exemptions allowed
• COVID-19 vaccine updated for 2024-2025 season required; declination form available

Additional Notes

• Candidate must be able to scrub and assist physicians in the Cath Lab
• Must be comfortable with call schedule and 10-hour shifts
• Facility requires completion of multiple pre-employment forms and compliance with hospital policies
